Men! Gym Time or Skin Time?

What is the hardest part of skin care for men? Is it the time you have to put into skin care? is it the accessibility and being able to get to your proudcts? Is it knowing which products to use? All of these play a important part into having a skin care routine and determines if you are set up for success. Skin care is not only hard for you, but for women as well. Do not let your wife or sister try and convince you otherwise. Have you ever been to a gym? skin care is some what like this. It takes time and consistency to see results, but if you stop you can always pick back up. THE RESULTS DEPEND ON YOU. If you go to the gym and do not have clue what the machine does you could be wasting time, and working the wrong areas of the body. This is the same with skin care. If you start a skin care routine but not know what products are good for your skin you could be doing more damage and possibly targeting the wrong areas. Reaching out to a trainer to help you work out can teach you how to get maximum reaults with smarter work out routines. Reaching out to a esthetician about your skin care can teach you how to get maximum results with better quality skin care products.

Below are the steps and correct order you should place your skin care products. Products are not "men skin care and women skin care". It is all the same. Skin care products do not know gender. It only knows skin type (Dry, Oily, Combination).

  1. Double Cleanse - cleansing twice is improtant to remove all dirt to help you next products go deeper into the skin.

  2. Exfoliate - Exfoliation removes dead skin. Using a chemical exfolation such as mandelic acid is GREAT for men with skin of color.

  3. Serums - Help target area that needs to be treated (Dark spots, acne, skin texture)

  4. Moisturizer - Hydrating your skin with CORRECT moisturizer prevents skin from making more sebum (oil).

  5. Sunscreen (SPF) - protects your skin from dirt entering into the pores causing more acne and helps from damaging your melanin.
